Sometimes you want a clean, all-over colour result. No blending, no fading, just a consistent, beautiful shade from root to tip. That’s where a professional tint comes in.
Whether you’re covering greys, refreshing a colour that’s faded, or going in an entirely new direction, our colourists at Aneia Warner Salon will get it right.
We use Kevin.Murphy colour, a premium, low-tox range that’s PETA-certified, cruelty-free, and genuinely kind to your hair and scalp. The results are vibrant and long-lasting, and the formula is designed to nurture as it colours. For anyone with a sensitive scalp, this product makes a real difference.
A regrowth tint targets the new growth at your roots, which is perfect for maintaining your current colour or staying on top of greys without processing the lengths unnecessarily.
A full tint takes colour through the entire length of your hair for a completely new, even look.
Your colourist will recommend the best approach based on your hair and your goals.
All lighting work is priced based on a regrowth application. Extra colour or processing time may be required, depending on your hair. We’re always happy to give you a pre-quote.
A professional tint typically lasts 4–6 weeks before regrowth becomes visible and the colour starts to fade. To keep things looking fresh, most of our clients come in every 4-8 weeks, depending on their natural hair growth and how much contrast they’re working with.
If your lengths are still looking good and you’re mainly seeing root growth, a regrowth tint is often all you need – it’s also gentler on your hair since you’re not processing the full length every time. If the colour has faded significantly throughout the mid-lengths and ends, a full tint might be a better choice. We’ll advise you honestly when you come in.
Tinting at AW Salon in Kumeu starts from $115 for a regrowth tint through to $180 for long hair. This doesn’t include your cut or blow dry, which you can add on when you book.
Yes. We use Kevin.Murphy colour across all our tinting services, a premium, low-tox formula that’s PETA certified and cruelty-free. It’s especially great for clients with sensitive scalps or anyone who has had reactions to harsher colouring products in the past.
Absolutely, we’d actually recommend it. Just make sure you book your cut or blow dry at the same time as your colour so we can schedule your rinsing time properly. We don’t send clients out with wet hair, so the sequence matters.
